The Brooklyn Nets’ deepest fear is that Kevin Durant requested a trade and Kiri Irving left the franchise, according to Adrian Wozniacki.

The Brooklyn Nets 2021-22 season was nothing short of a disaster. Things looked promising for the franchise, starting with Kevin Durant, Kiri Irving and James Harden as favorites to win the Big 3.
But things didn’t go according to plan, as the Nets dropped several games. Because of this discrepancy, Brooklyn eventually traded a piece of their talented trio to Harden at the end of the trading session. But it looks like Nate is also in danger of losing their other two superstars, Kevin Durant and Kiri Irving.
According to ESPN insider Adrian Wozniacki, in the off-season the nets may find themselves in some deep water, and much of it actually falls into the extended stalemate between the organization and Kiri Irving.
“Tsai and Marx played a role in Irving’s reluctance to be vaccinated, initially refusing to make him a part-time player – only allowing him to return in the middle of the 2021-22 season. Trying. “
“Kyrie Irving’s quest to take advantage of negotiations with the Brooklyn Nets to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers would not endanger the 30 million pay cut, but the sum of the franchise’s deepest fears: Irving’s walk and Kevin Durant want to trade.”
“How far do the Nets push and leave themselves open to the organization’s biggest insecurities – an erving exit resulted in Durant deciding the roster and not being talented enough for the championship?”
The Nets have a team full of great talent after beating James Harden. Led by the duo of Durant and Irving, along with some talented role players like Ben Simmons and Seth Curry and Patty Mills, the roster looks set to challenge the top teams in the league.
But a big factor will be the willingness of the net to risk a player like Irving. While there is no doubt that Kiri is an incredibly skilled hopper, he has often missed games, be it due to injury or out-of-court reasons.
However, do not forget that the main reason for Durant to join the net is to play with his friend and fight with him for the championship. While the 30-year-old is unavailable to the team for a number of games, he has excelled in the games he has played with Durant and at times even surpassed the ‘Slim Reaper’.
Given how many assets the Nets have already left to bring this superteam together, it is very unlikely that they will sign a 7-time All-Star. Brooklyn, however, can be a contingency plan for all of this, trade Irving for a good package before the trade deadline. Not only is there likely to be another superstar in the net, but they won’t have to deal with the uncertainty of a star like Irving.
Can the Nets hold Durant and Irving for the upcoming season or is a collapse inevitable?
