Over the past few weeks, headlines have been pouring in about the Washington Wizards’ superstar Bradley Beal. The 28-year-old has spent his entire career with the Wizards so far and has yet to make any real progress towards winning the NBA Championship.
So it is quite clear that Bill is planning to move elsewhere this offseason. In fact, there were rumors that he was considering disqualifying his player option this season, but Bill reacted to it in a confusing manner.
Either way, whether Bill stays with the team is up for discussion next week. What we do know is that the Wizards are considering moving other pieces around the bill.
If magicians want to strengthen their teams this season, they need to trade a few pieces to get quality pieces. According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fisher, Kyle Kuzma and Cantavius Caldwell-Pope appear to be the first players to be traded.
By Bleacher Report:
“Before Thursday’s NBA draft, the Pacers have consistently discussed Brogdon’s dealings with the Knicks and Wizards, sources said, but there are suspicions from league officials that Brogdon will be moved to Washington or New York.
Wizards are keen to discuss trade talks with Kyle Kuzma and Cantavius Caldwell-Pope, sources said.
Malcolm Brogden could be a great addition to the current Wizards squad. But at the same time, Cuz’s 2021-22 season has been good, and his market value has certainly increased since the day he joined the LA Lakers.
At the moment, there is nothing but these rumors. If true, it might persuade Bill to stay with the Wizards and take another shot. But the question remains, will Bragdon be enough to make the trade wizards a title contender? Most likely, the answer is no.
