Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso are still angry that the 2020 Lakers never got a championship parade

In 2020 the Los Angeles Lakers were found to be on the wrong end of the championship trophy. With the trophy in his hand, he didn’t get a chance to walk around town as Laker’s fans cheered him on. LA worked hard to win the Miami Heat in the Bubble, but they didn’t really have time to enjoy it.
The Lakers had a surprisingly short off-season that year and are struggling with a roster move that hasn’t worked lately. Most parts of the 2020 championship team have split, but the bonds they have created remain. It’s a shame they never got a championship parade and the players know it too.
During the Warriors Championship Parade, Alex Caruso tweeted about how sick he felt watching their celebration. Kuzma immediately retweeted it with a quote, reminding Caruso that he didn’t even get a parade after winning his championship.
The Lakers qualified for the parade, but world conditions would not fit into the plans of the day. By then we had all been in Covid for more than 6 months in health, but there were still cases of persistent outbreaks across the country, making it extremely unsafe for the Lakers to celebrate the title with a parade involving more than 50,000 residents.
LeBron James has seen his rightful place in the Championship Parade, but many of these Lakers players may not even come close to winning the championship again. It was his only shot at participating in the parade and he escaped.
Even if the Lakers win one of the next two titles, the team that enjoys the parade will look very different from the team that won the 2020 championship, so the players on that team will have to move painfully forward.
