Vince Carter is probably one of the most prestigious players of his generation. Known for his thunder and his excellent scoring, Carter was a sight to behold in the league.
As his main game drew to a close in the early 2010s, the former Nets got stuck around the Forward League and finally ended his career with the Atlanta Hawks in the 2019-20 season. He may not be playing anymore, but the 42-year-old has been in the limelight since he became an analyst with national broadcasting giant ESPN.
The household name for the NBA trustee, Carter remains active outside the court and often attends several shows. While the former 8-time All-Star was away from his home, a shocking incident happened at his home in Atlanta recently.
According to a report released by Atlanta Police, र 100,000 was looted from Carter and his family. More shockingly, his wife, Sondy Carter, and their two children were locked in a closet during the entire incident.
“According to reports, Carter’s wife, Sondy Carter, was in bed with her two children when she heard a loud noise around 11:50 Sunday night. They hid in a closet and she called 911, then texted her neighbor’s patrol. Officers reported by the Constitution, who were first law enforcement officers, saw a man fleeing in a black SUV but were unable to apprehend him. “
Neither Sondy Carter nor her children were injured, but police said the front window of the main house was blown out. Authorities outside found a large $ 100 bill spilled on the ground with a gold Desert Eagle pistol and a black Glock 26 pistol with an extended magazine, the report said. The desert belonged to Eagle Carter, but investigators believe Glock was taken by the suspect, the incident report said.
Shockingly, the house built by the former Raptors legend in Atlanta has been declared “state-of-the-art home security” with electronic gates.
No arrests have been made so far and fortunately no member of Carter’s family has been injured in the burglary.
